New ICC co-chair and vice-chair
William Li, long-serving Eastman Kodak delegate, stepped down earlier in 2025, and at the regular meeting of ICC members in Vienna in July Chris Bai of BenQ (previously ICC's vice-chair) was nominated and unanimously approved as ICC's new co-chair.
Chris Bai
ICC officers include a chair and vice-chair. Due to the workload, ICC has for some years followed a policy of dividing the chair responsibilities between two delegates. The co-chairs have responsibility for the technical work of ICC, and chair meetings of the Steering Committee.
Max Derhak
Max Derhak of Onyx Graphics, the driving force behind the iccMAX specification and colour management architecture, continues to serve as the second co-chair. Luke Wallis of Apple Inc. was nominated and unanimously approved as ICC's new vice-chair.
The election of a second officer from the display industry is indicative of the growing importance of display and HDR in today's colour management, and the challenges to be faced in achieving seamless colour communication across the wide range of different imaging technologies.
Luke Wallis
Dr Wallis is a Senior Software Engineer at Apple where he works on the foundation of color management for Apple products. As well as ICC, he represents Apple at ISO TC-42, ITU and SMPTE.
He received an MS in Computer Science from Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland and a PhD in Computer Science from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in Wroclaw, Poland.
