This profile encodes a reference display based on ITU-R BT.709-5: Parameter values for the HDTV standards for production and international programme exchange.

The profile encodes only the electro-optical transfer function (EOTF) of BT.709, with a gamma of 2.4, since the PCS colorimetry is output-referred.
