Profile D s an MPE based iccMAX profile used to print or determine the colorimetry of a print using a CMYK output device. It differs from Profile C in that it has greater flexibility in encoding the transform in the colorimetric based tags, it utilizes Illuminant A, and it provides a spectral reflectance representation of printed colors as a transform in the absolute DToB3Tag. Profile connection conditions tags are required because it uses a non-standard illuminant and it has a transform that uses a spectral reflectance PCS.
