What is iccMAX?
iccMAX is a new colour management architecture based on a specification by ICC and ISO.

When should I use it?
iccMAX is intended for colour management needs that cannot be met with v4. It is not a replacement for v4.

How can I make iccMAX profiles?
Commercial applications which make and use iccMAX profiles are beginning to appear. You can also make profiles yourself: once you have the data to encode in the profile, you can generate profiles using IccXml in the demo implementation. You can use the example profiles provided in the test suite to see the structure of an iccMAX profile.

What is its relationship to v4?
iccMAX has backwards compatibility with v4

iccMAX profiles have significant differences from v4 profiles

What is an ICS?
Interoperability Conformance Specifications define sub-sets of the iccMAX specification for practical applications

There is a wide range of example profiles in the DemoIccMAX test suite.
