Kip Smythe 1949-2017

With sadness we report that William "Kip" Smythe, founding Secretary of the International Color Consortium, passed away on June 9, 2017, at his home in Cave Creek, Arizona, surrounded by his family and loved ones, after a long battle with cancer.

Kip served as the ICC Executive Secretary for 2 decades, both leading by example and supporting with his expertise. Over his long tenure, Kip provided a steadying influence on the organization, and was able to contribute organizational memory about why we made the decisions we did which shaped the ICC. He was a tireless promoter of the ICC, and was one of the contributing factors to the success of our organization as it exists today.

We will miss him.
